Female suicide bombers kill at least 8 in Nigeria refugee camp

At least eight people have been killed at a refugee camp in Nigeria after two female suicide bombers blew themselves up.
According to reports, the bombing took place in the north-east of Nigeria on Wednesday morning near the border with Cameroon.
It is said that the two female suicide bombers were initially thought to be internally displaced persons at the camp.
Several people were wounded in the attack though details still remain sketchy.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack though it is highly suspected to be the work of Nigeria’s militant group Boko Haram.
In February, Boko Haram carried out a similar attack in an IDP camp in Borno state near the border with Cameroon that left 60 people dead.
Boko Haram has carried out a spate of suicide bombings and attacks in Nigeria and its neighbouring countries.
The militant group has killed thousands and abducted hundreds including the Chibok schoolgirls.
The insurgency group is seeking to establish an Islamic state in Africa’s largest economy.
